Amos from Lugari in Kakamega County said that he had enjoyed a good and peaceful marriage with his wife for 13 years. However, he revealed that last year, his wife began complaining of severe pain in her left leg, and by the next day, it had swollen so badly that he had to rush her to a clinic.
He explained that the clinic could not address the problem and had referred them to the Eldoret Referral Hospital, adding that every moment seemed to make the situation more difficult.
Amos reported that after three weeks at the hospital, the doctors recommended amputating her leg. They allegedly told him that she had been poisoned and that amputation was the only way to save her life.
He said his wife could not believe what she was hearing, and he himself struggled to understand what was happening in their lives.
