Fred Ezama, a resident of Ileku Ward in Manibe, Ayivu East constituency has no love lost the National Resistance Movement ever since he began participating in elections.
During the recently concluded NRM primary elections, Ezama waded off intimidation and lined up behind the picture of the winning candidate, Eng William Taylor Tiyo Odaa.
And on Monday, during a campaign rally graced by exuberant supporters and residents an Omvua Cell, he declared that they will differentiate truth from lies by the symbol of a bus.
“For us once we vote somebody in the primary election, we continue to support that person until he is sworn in the Parliament,” he said.
In keeping with that principal, Ezama added that they will give their votes in bundles so as to confirm the outcome of the primary election and deliver the much needed change in Ayivu East constituency.

Irene Odaru, we have seen the usefulness of Tiyo before even he asked us for a vote. He supported our church by fixing the door and windows of the catechist’s house, he put up a temporary bridge to allow us to cross over Odrua stream. We will not be disappointed with such a selfless person who has the people at heart,” she said.
Such was the solid expression of support among the residents, Simon Agara, the campaign manager for Eng Tiyo urged the people to silence the “snake” on January 15, 2026 by pointing the tip of their pen to the bus next to a checkered coat known as Kapere in the local parlance.
The people of Ileku said they look forward to feeling like they are part of Ayivu East once again and urged Tiyo to take note of the bad roads, lack of safe water and electricity and ensure that another five years does not elapse without them getting these basic needs.
Moved by the excitement in the crowd, Tiyo thanked the people for their enthusiasm and eagerness to participate in developing their area.
He promised to provide leadership that will propel Ayivu East Constituency to realize its dream of living in a Middle income country.
Tiyo is being challenged in the race for the parliamentary seat by Godfrey Anguyo of the Forum for Democratic Change, Isaac Ayikobua of the National Unity Platform and Geoffrey Feta, loser of the NRM primary election.

Tiyo said the modest support he gave to the people in different parts of Arua City when he was a civil servant was meant to assimilate him into the community and as one without any political motive.
For instance in Alia Cell in Ileku ward, his connections with friends from the Healing Hands International yielded a sh30 million borehole.
Tiyo said philanthropic organization has informed him that they are waiting for the political heat to cool so that they can come back to begin income generating programme in the same area targeting especially women.

He said under his watch, the National Resistance Movement Manifesto of President Yoweri Museveni will be implemented in entirety to deliver socio-economic transformation in Ayivu East Constituency.
This will include skilling youths, improving health sector performance, education, bridges and road infrastructure, rural electrification and household incomes through strictly sticking to the guidelines of the Parish Development Model.
