Jackson Atima, the Member of Parliament for Arua Central Division, has shifted his attention to vote protection as open campaigns for the National Resistance Movement Primary elections come to an end.

He urged his supporters to stay calm and wait for communication from the campaign management team regarding the next steps.

Voting is scheduled for Thursday and will be by lining behind the candidate, or his agent or his poster.

The incumbent MP for Arua City has urged his supporters to turn up and vote without fear. His message followed various campaign rallies that he addressed in all the six wards in the Central Division, all of which attracted huge crowds.

Atima has promised celebration with fireworks to light the skies above Arua City once the declaration of results is done on Thursday evening.

He was backed by one of his agents, Victor Vidali, who said the campaign management is overriding with confidence owing to the track record of the MP that makes it easy for them to speak about his achievements with ease.

“On Thursday, you stand firm in the line, be counted and begin celebrations. Fortunately the voting is by lining so those who fail will not have excuses to give. The shortness of their line will be proof enough,” he said.
