In the just concluded quarter final draws held at Fufa House on Monday 29th August, 2022, Westnile Province after knocking Karamoja Province by an aggregate of 6-0 will now turn their attention to the city boys of Kampala Province.
The draw was attended by Fufa officials and representatives of the 8 provinces that secured their places in the quarter finals of the third edition of the tournament in the country.
These Provinces include Bugisu, Lango, Westnile, Teso, Tooro, Acholi, Kampala and Buganda.
Acholi edge Bunyoro in the round of last 16 by 1-0, Lango defeating Ankole by 1-0 as well, Kampala were victorious against Bukedi by 4-1, Teso managed to go past Busoga by 3-2, Bugishu beat Sebei in a highly lively encounter by 7-4, Buganda edged out their counterparts Kigezi by 2-1, and Tooro were 1-0 winners over Rwenzori.
According to the final draws, Bugishu was drawn to Lango, Acholi to play Buganda, Westnile to take on Kampala and Teso to battle with Tooro.
The matches will be played in a home and away basis with the overall winner on aggregate heading into the finals which will be played in December with the venue to be communicated at a later date.
The matches will be played on Saturdays and Sundays having one match a day starting on Saturday 10th September 2022.
